GRECO HOUSE

The volume of this small seaside house was determined by its zoning: a box 24’ x 36’ x 30’. The elements of the program were allowed to expand or contract according to forces of need and contingency. Some elements became penetrant, dense and constricted, floating freely until encountering a wall or edge. Other elements continued to balloon until they were locked between ceiling, wall and floor. The roof water is channeled down a copper lined notch; at the entry the notch passes through the overhang of an outdoor shower.
