EASTSIDE KITCHEN
An existing nineteenth century home on the Eastside of Providence, RI was constrained by the old-fashioned long scullery and small kitchen footprint. Removing the wall separating the former scullery from the kitchen provided just enough space for a fully modern redesign without altering any of the existing walls of the kitchen. A new window brings light and a view through the reconfigured kitchen into the dining room beyond. A materially rich palette of stainless steel, walnut, glass and soapstone infuses a traditional sense of quality into a thoroughly modern design
